How Sula Vineyards Make Alcohol?
- Harvesting: Grapes are removed from the plant. All this work is either done by them or they get it done by someone else or they do it by machine.
- Crushing and Pressing: After plucking grapes, they crush and press them, due to which juice starts coming out from them, due to which red wine 🍷 and white wine 🍷 can be made and seeds can also be made by removing the juice.
- Fermentation: Yeast converts the sugar inside into alcohol and carbon dioxide in a few days and it is kept at a controlled temperature for a few weeks, due to which Sula Vineyard gets its favourite wine.
- Malolactic Fermentation (Optional): This is a secondary process that converts Malic Acid into Lactic Acid due to which the wine becomes soft.
- Ageing: Wine is kept in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels or bottles. The better the alcohol, the more complexity and time it takes.
- Clarification: Solids and impurities are removed through racking, fining and filtration for a clear and stable wine.
