Suzlon Energy share price traded higher by over 1% today, shaking off recent sector-wide consolidation following strong expansion plans and fresh domestic order wins

Domestic stock market investors focused their attention on the renewable energy sector on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Shares of Suzlon Energy Limited reversed a multi-week downward trend, registering modest gains in the early trading hours. The green energy pioneer saw its stock gain roughly 1.18 percent, giving minor relief to retail buyers.

The stock began the morning session at ₹43.50 on the National Stock Exchange, opening slightly above its previous day’s close of ₹43.34. Positive corporate triggers quickly invited buyers, driving the stock price to an intraday high of ₹44.22. By mid-morning, the counter witnessed a minor correction and hovered around ₹43.85 per share.

Heavy daily market interest backed the upward movement. Market tracking platforms noted that the intraday trading volume crossed 1.25 crore shares within the first few hours of opening. Analysts believe that short-term traders are capitalizing on cheaper valuations following a prolonged downturn in the energy space.

Despite the recovery, the long-term price trend indicates that the heavy machinery stock remains under consistent pressure. Over the last year, Suzlon Energy’s annual return has plunged by approximately 26.02 percent, reflecting a broad-based cool-down across power stocks. Over a shorter six-month timeline, however, the share price manages to hold an 8.61 percent gain.

Operational updates have been crucial in supporting Suzlon Energy’s valuation. Under its modern “Suzlon 2.0” business blueprint, the wind energy pioneer is heavily focused on clean technology and project development. A key strategic driver has been the massive expansion of its manufacturing footprint across western India.

To meet surging domestic demand, the manufacturer recently doubled its flagship rotor blade capacity at its specialized Jaisalmer plant. The site expanded its layout from 630 megawatts to 1,260 megawatts by installing two completely new production lines. This local scaling helps the corporate giant keep manufacturing costs low.

Recent business wins have also built clear fundamental support for the energy giant. The group bagged a major 200-megawatt wind installation contract from Ayana Renewable Power. This project requires setting up 64 units of their specialized S144 wind turbines, pushing that specific platform past a massive 10-gigawatt milestone.

Financially, the large-cap enterprise commands a total market capitalization of ₹60,073 crore. In its latest quarterly statement, the firm reported revenue of ₹3,165 crore, demonstrating a robust 23.13 percent growth year-over-year. Net profit grew by an impressive 294.50 percent to reach ₹1,279 crore for the period.

Over the last 52 weeks, the equity has experienced a highly volatile path. The stock established a yearly floor at ₹38.19, while its peak performance reached a high of ₹61.50. Today’s price action places the stock near the middle of its annual range as the business works to rebuild its institutional backing.
